Arunachal Pradesh is tucked away in the North Eastern tip of India. Whilst most of the state is mountainous, crowned by the snowcapped grandeur of the High himalaya, along the various rivers it eases into lush swampy forests and deep river hewn valleys.
The state also has one of the highest rainfalls is India at 350cm per anum, which makes for a hot and humid climate. Average temperature during the winter months range from 15 to 21 degree celsius and 22 to 30 degree celsius during monsoon.Between June and August the temperature may go up to 40 - 42 degree celsius.
Lovers of nature will love this state, which abounds with flora and fauna and has huge biodiverity.
It is home to many rare and highly endangered species of wild life like Mishmi, Takin, Hoolock Gibbon, Musk Deer, Bharal, Hisbid Hare, Flying Squirrel as well as four large cats, the Tiger, Leopard, Clouded leopard and snow leopard in addition to lesser feline species like the Golden cat and marbled cat. The slopes and valleys are awash with tress and plants and consequently this state boast more than 500 bird species, like Wreathed Hornbills, Black-Necked Crane, Blood Pheasant, Monal, Ibisbill, Purple Cochoa. Foreign Tourists visiting Arunachal Pradesh will have to pay US$ 50 per head to Government of Arunachal Pradesh and application for RAP should be applied through Local approved tour approved tour operator.
