Hello and welcome to the Gone India website.
As frequent travelers on the sub-continent, we decided to try our hand at putting together a website for other people with a hankering for India.
Whether you're a first time novice to India or a old hippy that never made it home we'd like to think you will find something of interest on this site.
Designed to be simple and user friendly the site attempts to give the first time traveler to India some pointers on how avoid the pitfalls.
The site is divided into 8 main sections.
Below you will find a quick explanation as to the title and content of each section!!!
Click on the Ohm to see the section!
I hope the site proves useful and informative,
We've been busy, the train page has been updated, to include schematics of the carriage layouts and berth numbers. The prices page has been updated with train details and a currency convertor, the state by state guides continue to move forward and the festivals have been brought upto date 2009. There also a site search engine on the homepage and a site map. The search engine is limited but helps you navigate the website nonetheless.
Slowly slowly as they say in India, the site is growing, albeit at a snails pace. It continues to be a labour of love, though our somewhat erratic approach may have the perfectionists tearing their hair out.
We'll continue to grow the site as time and inspiration allow
Finishing the state guides is a priority right now and a whole lot of work for two finger typists such as me!
You can see what we're aiming for on the linked page below or by clicking the link TRAVEL GUIDES on the side bar, Happy Traveling!!
